From North Carolina artist Kimberly Anderson comes a new concept in jewelry design: one of a kind pendants made with 100% silk, each hand-painted by the artist.

Combining her penchant for designing stunning beaded works and her first artistic love of colorful illustration, Kimberly creates unique pieces of one of a kind hand painted wearable art. Using a traditional silk painting method with resists and dyes, she adorns both sides of the pendant with florals, whimsical hearts and whatever comes to her imagination. After heat setting the silk for permanency, she then puts the bead together with adheshive and stuffs it for a pillow effect. Kimberly then chooses glass beads that compliment the colors of the small ornamental silk paintings, and strings them in patterns that really highlight the pendants themselves. The result is an original piece of fun, wearable art initialed on the back of each piece by the artist herself.
